Bloody Hell, each Time I start with "It's been a long time" and this time it's been even longer.
Mr Causious has been in Yosemiti, he was not happy with the FBC as he wanted to train for his trip and the FBC was Doc banned from climbing due to a small fracture of the tenth blaa blaa blaa RIB. Can I have BBQ sause with that.
Sigh and nine weeks Latter......... It's stall a bit Tweeky, Yes Young ones, when You get older you must be more careful.
The Rib was Cracked during a free Karting night put one by Cisco HP, trust me after the Doc and radiation pics were done, it was not free.
Hopefully this comming weekend I will make a start back at the face, might even go to Clip'n Climb again.
Went to the Home show on saturday with the BOY and his wee wiffee, Dammit Jannett, you don't have to Micro inspect every Booth, On went the headphone and up went Axel Rosee.
Sunday and Rugby on Ma new 42" Plasma with the 90" Dish on the Roof for freeto Air. ....... That's not gonna help the weight issue is it. Sigh.
Oh well off for a walk tonight. Maybe.

Went up to Whangarei to the old Folks home on Fri night and then I buggaed off with The Boy to Mangaraho on Sat Morning, Started up at 08:30 we only did one route, "The West Ridge" 60m, first pitch was a 14 and that was ok and then the second pitch we had a choice of 4, a 16, 15, 17 and 16. I tried to start the 16 straight up and Piked as getting to high with no placement, grovelled around trying to find the 15, ended up tuning a 2 pitch climb into 4 pitches.
But we had a lotta fun and it took 2 abseils with double ropes to get down from the Trig
(we could have walked off but where's the fun in that).
So at 15:00 we're at the bottom and The Boy remembers he left some gear at the Trig.
Round trip to the Trig and back by the Track is just under an hr, we had lunch and fluids first and then set off. One Cam and all my big hexs just sitting there. Geeees Boy.
I got back to the retirment home and I get Grumped at "said I would be back mid afternoon" and bowled in at 6, only did one climb though, 2 if you count the track up to the trig. Women .....

The Week Return
It was too long...... Sick Last Wednesday, and not upto it on Thurdsday, so hang out for the Weekend.
Saturday came and had other comitments call, "The Boy" needed an extrra hand or two and they were attached to my arms....... beutiful day, and as such I knew that Sunday would be Shite, and it was, strong showers ripping into the face at the Long Side.
Raced into town and had a breif meet with The Pharmasist, who was in NZ for the weekend, she has given the FBC her gear, so will divided the spoils with the Crew, The Student has 2 of the books and I'm sure would like the third ............... So Shoot me.
Got down to the face at 1pm Sunday and there was one Brave Lad doing his first Lead of Bandersnatch (19) and the Elements were Quickly upgrading it to a 22. I went home, Shoulda gone indoor but woooooosted out big time.
So, along came Wednesday, again, and not a bad Restart. Climbing with the Student and we both warmed up on Soliloquy (18) , then The Student went and Led Thimble Rigger (21),
which the FBC top roped with out any apparent dificulty, so gonna have to Lead that soon.
After that we went over to my old friend Defust (18) and again tried to Lead, Well things were going well, even had my last peice in and clipped, all the time in the world, and placed a foot in the wrong pos, mad a desparate grab with the right hand and got the tips into the hold, and ........... and............. @%$%$!%$%$!%%^&^# Yeah!!!! real happy Climber not!!.
The Student got up Raven (24) on Top rope very nicely indeed, and started practicing his placements for the "Successful" Lead to come. I got up half way again........ damm FAT, Damm Overweight, DAMMed Old Barsted.
Did penance .... Top roped Defust 3 times with small rests between each accent.
Thurdsday Night and Back at it.
Soliloquy (18) warm up and then The Student did a Lead on ........mmmmm will have to check the Guide, then we top roped Barracuda and the FBC belayed Xarmy on Soliloquy and the 25 to the Right , Must check that Guide again.
Got Cold ......Went home.
